Til Horna
The Architect of Successful Auctions
Til Horna combines deep numismatic expertise with exceptional organizational skill. As Senior Numismatist at Leu Numismatik AG, he is responsible for preparing and conducting the web auctions and handles collections with the utmost care – from consignment and scholarly cataloging through to the successful auction. His standard is to give every object and every collection the attention its historical significance deserves.
His areas of expertise include medieval and modern numismatics, as well as European, American, Russian, and Chinese coinage. He developed a passion for historical coins at an early age, which led him from the study of history into numismatics. Today he combines historical expertise with many years of practical experience in the international coin trade and has a keen eye for authenticity, condition, rarity, and the high-quality handling and cataloging of numismatic material.
Til Horna is particularly distinguished by his ability to coordinate even demanding collection and auction projects with calm, clarity, and precision. He ensures that collectors, scholarly experts, photographers, conservators, and other specialists work together efficiently and that every stage meets the highest standards of quality. With important collections in particular, trust is not a matter of chance; it is built through carefully planned processes and unwavering attention to detail.
